About the firm
Since 1968, Ken Macdonell Investigations has provided superior and professional investigative services to attorneys, business owners, insurance companies, and individuals throughout the United States and around the world. Our associates include expert field investigators, paralegals, licensed process servers, researchers, and former members of law enforcement (including bilingual Spanish speakers). All are committed to providing prompt assistance and complete confidentiality in every case or proceeding.
Founder Ken Macdonell, a native of Scotland, immigrated to the United States after flying more than 250 victorious missions in the British and US Air Forces during World War II. He was drawn to the field of private investigation because he knew he couldn’t sit behind a desk or take orders from anyone.
After a successful PI career spanning more than 50 years, Macdonell died in October 2003. His independent spirit lives on, as Ken Macdonell Investigations associates continue to handle an average of 300 cases per month from many long-term clients, including Fortune 500 insurance companies, corporate clients, high-value private clients, and approximately 100 prominent law firms.
Our current CEO, Tom Foulkrod, has more than 25 years of experience in large corporate software, telecom, and manufacturing applications. Since becoming CEO in 2003, he has reorganized the company, placing a focus on corporate litigation, business background checks, and the like. Our company now takes a more consultative approach to the investigative industry.
